HISTORICAL MEADS
This is a
category was introduced in MEADLLENNIUM 2007.

If
you belong to the SCA (Society for Creative Anachronism), and have entered mead
in their Science and Craft competitions, this will be familiar ground to you.

If
you prefer to make your meads with ancient recipes and techniques – this
category is for you.
A special
“THANK YOU” goes out to the SCA for their help in creating this category. And
we ask your patience and cooperation as we work through the growing pains
associated with implementing this new step in the evolution of MEADLLENNIUM.

For MEADLLENNIUM 2008 there will be one
There is a special ENTRY FORM for
this category that consists of two pages.

are available in Adobe® PDF and are found on the ENTRY
FORMS page.

The
first is very similar to the entry form for all the other categories. It has Meadmaker information as well as
information on the Mead entry. This will be kept in the Registrars file with
all of the other entries.

second page has the same Mead entry information
·
We are requiring that you place your mead into the same
sub-categories used for the rest of the competition so we can judge your mead
with similar styles of mead. Traditional meads will be judged against other
Traditional meads; Melomels will be judged against other Melomels; Braggots
will be judged against other Braggots, etc.
You may
register electronically, BUT YOU MUST attach the special ENTRY FORM to your entry.
All other ENTRY REQUIREMENTS are the same.
Cost:
Still $6.00 per entry - just like all other
entries.
